The support of research at all academic levels is a core task of the gta Archive. The gta Archive contributes to knowledge production, as well as in teaching and research collaborations. We operate on a principle of openness and public access and offer assistance for research and teaching, as well as exhibitions and publications.
Prospective researchers are welcome to create thematic links between the individual archival estates. The monographic collections, especially of those architects, theorists, and historians who taught and corresponded widely, offer expanded scope for architectural research. We can assist with developing thematic cross-readings that highlight how professional networks operate, and how architectural knowledge is disseminated across time and geographies.

Opening hours

The gta Archive can be visited on Tuesday and Thursday, between 9:00 and 17:00, by prior written appointment only.

Closure

In January and August, the gta Archive is completely closed for stocktaking, and holdings cannot be accessed at this time.
