The gta Library combines a reference library, a periodicals library, and over 100 estate libraries of architects, theoreticians, and historians. The library also keeps copies of all publications based on gta archival holdings. Its stocks are indexed on Swisscovery with the allocation “ETH gta Bibliothek”. Library copies cannot be borrowed. However, photocopying and scanning of literature is permitted, with the exception of fragile items requiring special handling.

Opening hours

The gta Library can be visited on Tuesday and Thursday, between 9:00 and 17:00, by prior written appointment only.

Closure

In January and August, the gta Library is completely closed for stocktaking, and holdings cannot be accessed at this time.

Consultation of the gta Library is free of charge. However, costs apply for digital reproductions and extensive research requests.

For teaching purposes by the faculty in the context of seminars, exercises, and similar projects, please follow our instruction sheet.

Library copies may be loaned for exhibitions. Please submit the loan request at least six months prior to the desired borrowing period.
